I want to read this homily that Pope Francis delivered at Santa Marta on the 9th of this month.
"He accompanies us and teaches us to pray. And our prayer should be Trinitarian. So often [people ask]: 'But do you believe?': 'Yes! Yes! '; 'What do you believe in?'; 'In God!'; 'But what is God for you?'; 'God, God'. But God does not exist: Do not be shocked! So God does not exist! There is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, they are persons, they are not some vague idea in the clouds ... This God spray does not exist! The three persons exist! Jesus is our companion on the journey who gives us what we ask; the Father who cares for us and loves us; and the Holy Spirit is the gift, the extra gift from the Father, that our consciousness does not dare to hope for"  Pope Francis

Pope Francis here declares that God does not exist, and not once but twice!  WOW!  He then attempts to justify this by another heretical statement - This God spray does not exist! The three persons exist!  What he means by, 'God spray,' is open to conjecture, but in context most likely refers to a general glossing over of something, or a generalisation.  Essentially he was awkwardly saying that the concept of One God does not exist but that there are three separate persons. This is not trinitarian doctrine but polytheism - similar in many respects to that of the Mormon Cult and some other non-trinitarian cults.

Furthermore he then categorises Jesus as a benevolent friendly companion, "who gives us what we want,"  God is seen as the friendly grandfather figure and the Holy Spirit is merely a extra gift.  I do not have the time now to elaborate too much on this, but this concept devalues the positions of all three.   Here are some quick points:

1. God is One God- not three separate persons.
Deut 6:4  “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.

2. Christ is much more than a companion.  He is our saviour, who was also involved very much in creation himself.  He is the  head of the Church and the bridegroom to the brind (church).  To say that he is there to give us what we ask is devaluing Christ to the position of vending machine.   -

Col 1:15-18 (NET)
(15)  He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation,
(16)  for all things in heaven and on earth were created by him – all things, whether visible or invisible, whether thrones or dominions, whether principalities or powers – all things were created through him and for him.
(17)  He himself is before all things and all things are held together in him.
(18)  He is the head of the body, the church, as well as the beginning, the firstborn from among the dead, so that he himself may become first in all things.
3. The Holy Spirit is given as a free gift to ALL those who believe, but here the Pope explains him as an 'extra' gift, like a side salad or something (would you like fries with that?)  He is not an added freebie but is an essential person who indwells every true believer.
Eph 1:13 (NET) And when you heard the word of truth (the gospel of your salvation) – when you believed in Christ – you were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit,
Eph 4:30  (NET) And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Now pay close attention to this next statement given by Pope Francis to the Pontifical Academy of Sciences on Monday 28th November 2014, when addressing the issue of Evolution and the Big Bang Theory.

God is not a divine being or a magician, but the Creator who brought everything to life,” the pope said. “Evolution in nature is not inconsistent with the notion of creation, because evolution requires the creation of beings that evolve. Pope Francis

I do not want to get into the never ending Creation/Evolution argument here, but I want to focus on his statement regarding the divinity of God, you to understand what the word "divine" means.  This, according to websters:

di·vine

adjective \də-ˈvīn\
1a :  of, relating to, or proceeding directly from God or a god <divine love>
  b :  being a deity <the divine Savior>
  c :  directed to a deity <divine worship>
Divine." Merriam-Webster.com. Merriam-Webster, n.d. Web. 28 Oct. 2014.

Simply put GOD IS DIVINE

For further evidence:
Rom 1:20  (ESV 2011) For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

2Pet 1:3-4 (ESV2011)
(3)  His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence,
(4)  by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.

Pope Francis seems to have an agenda here of devaluing God.   This is a serious development and one that many commentators are closely following.  There are over 1 billion people who follow his every word:

2Pe 2:1  But false prophets arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. These false teachers will infiltrate your midst with destructive heresies, even to the point of denying the Master who bought them. As a result, they will bring swift destruction on themselves.

As a final bit of advice for true beleivers out there:
Jude 1:3-4 (NET)
(3)  Dear friends, although I have been eager to write to you about our common salvation, I now feel compelled instead to write to encourage you to contend earnestly for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.
(4)  For certain men have secretly slipped in among you – men who long ago were marked out for the condemnation I am about to describe – ungodly men who have turned the grace of our God into a license for evil and who deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
Read the rest of Jude if you dare!
