Luke 17:26 Just as it was in the days of Noah, so too it will be in the days of the Son of Man.

There is a new movie released - Noah. If you are a true believer in the Messiah Jesus and therefore in the inerrancy of God's Word (The Bible) then I highly recommend that you DO NOT PROMOTE OR SEE THIS HERETICAL BIBLICAL ACCOUNT.   The same goes for the "Son of God" movie. Here is why...

According to the movie, Noah was an environmentalist. God was to destroy the world because it did not look after the plants and animals. Lamech (Noah's father) and Methuselah (Noah's grandfather) uses magic and other occult practices.

LIES - The "Watchers" are the protectors and helpers of Noah. They are the heros.

TRUTH - These "Watchers" are the Nephilim, who are the result of fallen angels in the biblical account. Most if not all bible scholars agree on that. They are actually demonoids and not helpful giant men. Like what we see with Thor, Superman, Hercules and other heros.
TRUTH - Gen 6:4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days (and also after this) when the sons of God were having sexual relations with the daughters of humankind, who gave birth to their children. They were the mighty heroes of old, the famous men.
TRUTH - Jude 1:6 You also know that the angels who did not keep within their proper domain but abandoned their own place of residence, he has kept in eternal chains in utter darkness, locked up for the judgment of the great Day.

LIES - Noah was an environmentalist.

TRUTH - The bible does not say anything of the sort. We do know he worked the land and that he was known as a preacher of righteousness.

LIES - God was to destroy the world because it did not look after the plants and animals.

TRUTH - God wanted to destroy the world because of rebellion and the fact that the Nephilim (fallen angels or demons) had intercourse with women to produce the supernatural giant men.
TRUTH - Gen 6:1-3 When humankind began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of humankind were beautiful. Thus they took wives for themselves from any they chose. So the LORD said, “My spirit will not remain in humankind indefinitely, since they are mortal. They will remain for 120 more years.
TRUTH - Gen 6:11 The earth was ruined in the sight of God; the earth was filled with violence. God saw the earth, and indeed it was ruined, for all living creatures on the earth were sinful. So God said to Noah, “I have decided that all living creatures must die, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. Now I am about to destroy them and the earth.

LIES - Noah wants to kill his grandchild if it is a boy to prevent humans from populating the earth again. In fact he comes across as an unkind person who hates humanity.

Listen to what Russell Crowe says about his Noah character.

MORE ON THIS LIE - Here is what the Movie script says
"Meanwhile, Noah has himself become a bit psychotic, like an environmentalist or animal rights activist who concludes that people do not deserve to survive because of what they’ve done to the environment and to animals. Noah deduces that God’s only reason for his family on the boat is to shepherd the animals to safety, “and then mankind disappears. It would be a better world.” He concludes that there will be no more births in this family so that when they start over in the new world, they will eventually die out, leaving the animals in a human-less paradise of eco-harmony and peace. As Noah says, “The creatures of the earth, the world itself, shall be safe.” His ethical reasoning? The same as all environmentalist activists: The ends justify the means. “We must weigh those [human] lives against all creation.” Noah Script

TRUTH - Nowhere in scripture does Noah come across as a person intent on neotaticide nor of finding some sort of sadistic pleasure in seeing the mass genocide of the human race (Called Omnicide).  Also, the theme that God wants to wipe out the HUMAN race as HUMANS have spoiled the earth (Environmentalism) is completely against the bibical account.
TRUTH - Gen 9:1 Then God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth."

LIES- Cain and Able appear and befriend Noah

TRUTH - Cain and Abel could not have met Noah. It is a chronological impossibility if one carefully studies the geneology in Genesis.

LIES - God comes across as an angry creator God who wants to completely obliterate ALL humanity or at the very least punish them for eternity (note - NO SALVATION) for harming His animals and plants.

TRUTH - John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

LIES - King Og is a helper of Noah. He is a good man

TRUTH - Num 21:33 Then they turned and went up by the road to Bashan. And King Og of Bashan and all his forces marched out against them to do battle at Edrei.
TRUTH - King Og of Bashan is an evil King in Scripture. In Scripture, Og lives after the flood and is one of the most powerful Kings of his day. He hated the ancient Israelites and sought to conquer them as they migrated to the land of Canaan, the Promised Land, after being led out of slavery in Egypt. The battle against Og, led by Moses, took place over 1500 years AFTER the flood.

LIES - Methuselah is protrayed as a philosopher and shaman.

See this clip where Anthony Hopkins discusses this and other origins.  He sums up beautifully the overall confused mess of mixing theology with philosopy.

TRUTH - The bible does not go into Methuselah much, only most people know he was the oldest known human ever.  However, Shamanism is definitely NOT of God. It is an ancient form of the occult that has new relevance through things like the New Age, New World Order today.

Here are quotes from the people involved

“I don’t think it’s a very religious story...I think it’s a great fable that’s part of so many different religions and spiritual practices. I just think it’s a great story that’s never been on film.” - Darren Aronofsky, Director

“It’s about environmental apocalypse which is the biggest theme, for me, right now for what’s going on on this planet. So I think it’s got these big, big themes that connect with us. Noah was the first environmentalist.” – Darren Aronofsky

Finally another warning.  In these last days we are seeing a resurgence amongst groups such as the Kabalists and even in the political sphere over what are known as the Noatide Laws.  These come out of Rabinnical Judaism (Legal) which is not Messianic Judaism (Centered around Yeshua - Messiah).  Be very very careful about this.

If you are a pastor, do not recommend this to your church. It is heresy. If you want to reinforce that righteous men are evil and evil men (and spirits) are righteous then this is the movie for you.

When I have time I will look at the "Son of God" miniseries and movie.  That is worse for more reasons than heresy.
