This message is for my Baha'i friends.

One thing about you, my Baha'i friends, is that you are all very nice, polite and kind people.  That is commendable.  You demonstrate as best you can that you wish for unity and peace for all mankind and show a willingness to help people achieve that goal.  However, I do have one concern.  My concern is regarding your eternity.  I love you enough to want to ensure that you do find the truth that you seek.    I do not want you to miss out on what God truly has to freely offer you.  It is something that your leaders will never tell you.

I want to begin by declaring that I follow the teachings of one of the Manifestations of God (as you call Him), Jesus Christ, so what I share is therefore said within the framework of your own faith.

I want you to read this scripture carefully:
God is love.
1John 4:9 By this the love of God is revealed in us: that God has sent his one and only Son into the world so that we may live through him.
10 In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
11 Dear friends, if God so loved us, then we also ought to love one another.
12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God resides in us, and his love is perfected in us.
13 By this we know that we reside in God and he in us: in that he has given us of his Spirit.
14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.
15 If anyone confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God resides in him and he in God.
16 And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has in us. God is love, and the one who resides in love resides in God, and God resides in him.

It demonstrates that God loves you much more than you realise.  He sent his Son to die personally for your sins.  You are taught that there is no sin, but that is clearly not true.  That deception is taught to prevent you from being convicted enough to come to accept that there is a Saviour.  That person who can save you is Jesus.  Search your soul, search your heart.  You know there is sin and even though you strive to believe you don't sin or that sin does not exist, yet you know that is not true.  Your spirit knows this:
Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Yes, you and I have sinned.  You have been taught that there is no heaven or hell, but a mere moving towards or away from God.
I therefore ask you these five simple questions:
1.Do you believe people essentially good or bad?  Look around you, look at yourself.
2.Are you a good or a bad person?

Now consider these scriptures
What then? Are we better off? Certainly not, for we have already charged that Jews and Greeks alike are all under sin, just as it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one, there is no one who understands, there is no one who seeks God.
All have turned away, together they have become worthless; there is no one who shows kindness, not even one.”
Rom 3:13 “Their throats are open graves, they deceive with their tongues, the poison of asps is under their lips. Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood, ruin and misery are in their paths, and the way of peace they have not known.”
“There is no fear of God before their eyes.” Rom 3:9-18
3. Can you say that you have never done anything wrong?  Have you ever stolen, lied, cheated, hit or killed?

4.  Do you fear God? Do you understand the consequences of not following His commandments?
Rom 6:23 For the payoff of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
5. Where do you go when you die?  I an assured that I am going to go straight to heaven and there meet God.  But what about you? Can you claim the same?

If you accept that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.  That he is God, that came to give you salvation so that if you believe and follow Him, then you too, like me, can say that you are a child of the One True God and receive Eternal Life.

Buddah, Krishna, and Baha’u’llah never told you that.  They deny a heaven for the righteous and they deny a hell for the sinner.  Yet Jesus, one of your so called "Manifestations of God" said this
In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they can see your good deeds and give honor to your Father in heaven. Matt 5:16
If Jesus said it then surely there must be a heaven.  By the same token, Jesus also said there was a Hell
Matt 25:41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you accursed, into the eternal fire that has been prepared for the devil and his angels!
He also put is quite simply when he said:
Matt 25:46 And these will depart into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
As a Baha'i you understand that you are to seek out the truth.  That is your whole aim of existence.  in fact a summary of your faith was made by Shoghi Effendi, the appointed head of the religion from 1921 to 1957.  He began his summary be saying that your faith is "The independent search after truth, unfettered by superstition or tradition." \

The problem you face is that you are told to accept that there are many different manifestations of God, but they each teach different things on different topics.  So what do you believe?  Which one is telling the truth, since all are teaching different beliefs.  They cannot all be right can they? The Bab and Baha’u’llah both made is very hard for you to therefore find the truth, by confusing your mind.

So stop your searching.  You can find it in Jesus, and Jesus alone.  It is he and he alone that said:
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6
There is only one road to the Father - the One True God, and that is through Jesus.  A manifestation of God has said this so it must be truth!
And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son
The one who has the Son has this eternal life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have this eternal life. 1John 5:11-12
It is not your good works that will save you. It is not hoping for peace, building unity, being a good person that will save you.  It is only in be believing that Jesus did come and dies on the cross, was buried but rose again and  is seated in heaven.  It is by following his commandments namely
1. To love the Lord your God with all your heart soul and mind, and to
2. Love your neighbour as yourself
That you will be saved.  As a Baha'i you probably already practice the second commandment pretty well, or maybe not, I don't know you that well,  but you do not fully live by the first.

So right now turn away from that which has no life and believe in Jesus Christ for the Kingdom of God is at Hand.  Contact me if you want to understand how.

May the Holy Spirit convict you and bring you closer to the God who created you through his Son Jesus Christ.

Your friend

Dan Dempsey
